*WS30 - Hiking in Sigulda, Latvia*
Sigulda is a small town in northern Latvia, population 12,000. In 2011 we spent more than half a day in the neighbourhood hiking in the Gauja River Valley.
We (just my wife and I) passed through isolated forest trails, old ruins, took a cable car over the river, meeting really young kids ready for serious adventure and finally ended at the old Sigulda Castle and the Dainas Hill with one of the many sculptures dedicated to Latvian folklore.
