我2010年去西藏，在纳木措湖畔过了一夜。纳木是藏语，意为“天堂”，措是“湖泊”。所以纳木措也称天湖，位于拉萨西北约195公里处。我们从定日小镇出发，徒中看到在川藏铁路奔驰的火车，也停在那根拉山口打卡，海拔5,190米。在一个小站交了买路钱，方可进入湖区。 

纳木措海拔4,720米，面积1,870平方公里，比我们的马六甲州还大，它是青藏高原的第二大湖。湖水清澈，湖面呈天蓝色。这里风大，水起波浪，超凡仙境。穿金戴银的牦牛正在上班，你拍它的照，牛主向你收出场费。 

纳木错是藏传佛教的“三大圣湖”之一，湖畔玛尼堆，转经筒，经幡和风马旗遍布。那两座迎宾石是纳木错的门神。

湖畔的旅馆是无星级，女的睡房，男的睡厅，卫生间在五十米外。过了一个难忘的夜晚，外面野狗嚎叫，狂风吹打门板和墙壁，室内队友打鼾，奏出一部枪林弹雨交响曲 

I went to Tibet in 2010 and spent a night on the shore of Namtso or Heavenly Lake or Tianhu. It is located 195 km northwest of Lhasa. We set off from Tingri Town and paused at Nagenla Pass for a photo shoot, 5,190 m above sea level. Saw the express train speeding on the famed Xichuan-Tibet Railway.   

Namtso is 4,720 m above sea level and covers an area of 1,870 sq km, which is larger than our Malacca state. It is the second largest lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The water is clear, wavy due to the wind and sky blue in colour. The decoratively “attired” yak is reared for photo shoot. 

Namtso is one of the 3 sacred lakes in Tibetan Buddhism, with the shoreline well decorated with prayer stones, prayer wheels, prayer flags etc. 

The lakeside hotel is most basic, with women sleeping in the bedrooms and men in the hall. It was an unforgettable night: wild dogs howling outside, strong wind pounding the doors and the walls, and teammates snoring. Quite an unusual symphony being played out.
