Exploring The Museum of Flight, Seattle, USA

*WS 111: Exploring The Museum of Flight, Seattle, USA*

The Museum of Flight is a private non-profit air and space museum in Seattle, established in 1965. We were here in 2019, spending some 2+ hours in the main aircraft section, one among several permanent displays. No time to visit the Space Section as well as the Aviation Pavilion where some 20 commercial jets are parked, including the huge Boeing 747. Never knew the museum is so huge.

Showing here are some models and actual aircrafts. 1st photo: full scale model of the first powered-plane the Wright brothers took to the air in 1903. 2nd photo: the prototype of Caproni Ca 20, the 1st single-seater fighter plane ever produced. Then 2 popular fighter planes used in WW2 - the NA P-51D Mustang and the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. 5th photo: a poster to advertise air travel in 1925. The last 3 photos show the impressive display of smaller aircrafts at the indoor Great Gallery.
